Radio Debut
I am proud to report that today I made my radio debut on Anne Diamonds lunchtime slot on BBC Radio Berkshire.
Having grown up breakfasting with Anne and Nick (Good Morning Britain) most mornings before school, I was thrilled to be invited. However, it was somewhat bizarre to be a stranger introducing myself to someone who was I felt practically a member of the family!
Anne's programme is broadcast live from the BBC studio in Caversham on the outskirts of Reading, according to my sat nav it is one hour and twenty minutes from BBHQ in South Gloucestershire.....not so when the M4 is closed neccessitating a diversion via Marlborough! Fortunately, I arrived with time to spare for a quick coffee courtesy of the license payer.
Needless to say, I was a bit daunted, but my nerves were unfounded as Anne quickly put me at ease. She seemed genuinely impressed with the Luxury Rose Bouquet that I took along and was fascinated to hear the Babyblooms story and to learn how the company was started. We also discussed the future and new products which we are developing with local manufacturers in the UK.
I was honoured to be invited to share our story 'on air' and thoroughly enjoyed meeting Anne and a few of the Radio Berkshire team.
